Step 1: Adobe Firefly Brainstorming
After copying my Chatgpt generated prompt into Firefly, I was presented with a variety in interesting options. I decided to use the image below for a starting point.
Step 2: Chatgpt Analysis & Recommendations
Although my composition was already pretty intense, I decided to ask Chatgpt
for ideas on how to take things to another level. I uploaded what I had so far and let my
virtual art director take over.
Prompt:
“I’m working on a visual design project and have a reference image for you to look at.
Please analyze the image and suggest ways to make the artwork more surreal. Provide structured, visual guidance based on the style of the reference image. Suggest 8-10 original focal motif ideas on the concept + moodboard. Provide matching text-to-image prompts for each motif.”
The analysis concluded that I was off to a strong start. However, Chatgpt did come up with some great suggestions.
Chatgpt suggestions for enhanced surrealism:
Anatomical Abstraction
Add a second layer of “fruit skin” beneath the human skin (like peeling back to reveal starfruit texture beneath).
Color Distortion
Introduce chromatic aberration effects or iridescence.
Step 3: Implementation
In response to Chatgpt’s suggestions, I added the skin peeling element and a pink glow to the
watermelon. Overall, I think Chatgpt’s art direction resulted in a much cooler piece of art.
